1st Update
We had our first appointment with that doctor that gives you the "good stuff" before surgery...I am not about to attempt spelling that :) We had breakfast and now we are waiting for the next appointment at noon. It looks like the surgery will be in the morning instead of tomorrow afternoon.(Possibly 7:30) We will have an exact time at three today. And for those of you who know how much we all enjoy getting up early-You know we are thrilled about being here at 5:30 in the morning!!! (Dad will have to be there 2 hours early) But this will be better for Dad since he cant eat after midnight :)
Thank you for prayers for us as well as the doctors that will be performing the surgery. We are so thankful that we are in good hands.....We have the Good Lord going before us, good friends holding us up, and we are at the leading cancer facility in the country.....We couldn't ask for much more :)

Gene, I found this prayer online (I love Google). It is a great prayer for all of to use.
"Almighty God, my heavenly Father, as you have always sent angels to do your healing work, so you have sent men and women as instruments of your healing now. Bless the surgeons and all who will attend to me, that their knowledge and skill might bring the healing you desire. Grant me the confidence to know that all of my days are in your care. Through Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen"
It is for you to say, but we can all change the words slightly to pray for your healing and safety tomorrow.

How neat to received such a quick update. We will be standing by looking forward to the next report. Peggy,take a good book, sit back and relax. If that doesn't work, my cell phone will be on. Call when and if you need something or just want to hear a friendly voice. Love and hugs to all,
